First outing on the Isonic Speed 44, NCX 6.5

Board was nice though the chop and its even gybe-able!

More wind, smaller fin, Really flat water and cambered sail needed to push it to its full potential.

Over finned with the 29 Casper making for a couple sketchy moments

CA53, 6.4 Koncept, 32 Talon/23 Delta, Green Island.

Under done with the 6.4 today but still one of the best days you could get at GreenCool.

Broke my alpha PB twice on the CA53 then smashed it while trying Freddy's CA55CoolCool.

Huge congrats to FAST FREDDY on a big effort today. He had a goal to crack the big 30 today and he did that plus some moreCoolCoolCoolCool.

Nice and comfortable with the wetty on. Saw Freddy shaking with cold at one stage and even Firie said he was a bit cold ( not sure why because he didn't do many K's ).

Well .......I have finally cracked the BIG 30 with some coaching from Gaz and Firie. Thanks guys.

I would also like to thank my friend and mentor Hoppy Bob who has given me so much support and encouragement.

It's been a long time coming ...and yes ..I'm wrapped.

After two and a half hours sailing and a couple of prangs  the GPS reading was stuck on 29.95 ....true story..didn't think 30

was to be had for me today.

Any way enough rambling on..... great day ....great conditions and great company.

CA 55..6.6 LOFT sail and Gaz's 32 Talon fin.

Vando, take 2 knts off what it says on the graph and thats about what were getting on the water.

Next few days are going to be good you picked it well!!

Ill be on the water till about 2pm got to head into town, will have to sail out wide as reef flats will be too shallow until after 2pm then the eastern point of the Island will start to be deep enough.

See you tomorrow!!

P.S. dont worry about bringing ya wet-suit!!    Cool

Locky, I'm sure Cam has done better than 24 on the island.

Think I might owe Freddy a beer for the use of the 55. Would be an awesome board with footstraps that fitted me and a bit of time to get used to it.

Herb, Lyn, may take a drive down Kurrimine tomorrow to keep an eye on you lot down there, may be some fights between teams and you need a ref.

Got my stitches out today, appears no infection so far and maybe no more dressings after a couple of days, first time in 19 months GREAT NEWS,

Freddie, congrats on your 2 Sec and 5x10 and Rico too.

Firie and Gaz, lovely PB u-turns.  Was it a competition?  Also I see you sailed the eastern and northern run at the same time so I gather the tide was just right to skip across the reef.  Great numbers alround too fellas.
