Arlington Reef  RRD Xfire 105 Venom 40 RSS mk 4 7.0

Great fun but just a bit rough for a really good NM which was the goal today .

Wind was square so had to head out into the rough stuff towards the middle of the NM run & then sail up wind back into the smoother water .

Got off Arlington early to catch a couple of quick runs on the exo 50 delta 25 on the  GI Eastern Run but rapidly ran out of water & only marginally quicker on the 2 sec peak .

Fun sailing with so many of the team !!!

Fun day at Arlington. Took a couple of runs to get tuned up once over there.. moved harness lines back, let outhaul off, and bit by bit felt more comfortable going off the wind. my body seemed to be getting in a weird postion but think ive got it sorted now. was on 6.6 koncept, nude 47 and 23 delta. wind kicked up just as we were leaving to escaoe the low tide i couldnt resist a quick last blat and thats when i got the 2 sec. probably could have done a couple more runs but was nervous about making it back on the speed board. had a few hairy moments going over when the nose went tractor on me and plowed through a few swells.

good to have the boys over fanging about.

next purchase some adjustable harness lines that go to 34. need to get my arse an inch off the water i think.

CA53, 6.4 Koncept, Talon 32/Canefire 32/Delta25, Green Island.

Under done with the 6.4 today but was nice not using the big gear.

Played around with fins today and the Canefire and Talon felt very similar, both very controlled in chop but still felt slippery.

First proper go with the delta 25 and cured the problems I was having with the 23. The 25 gave the board enough lift to cruise upwind and had a lot more control in the rough stuff. All the alphas were on the delta through the chopCool

Nice pb Toody.

Kel, you're going to have to make an effort soon.

I'm starting to work the alphas out. The gybes were ugly today but made up for with higher entry and exit speed. Now we just need some wind and flat water on the same day.

Great team turnout and results to boot.  Congrats on the Alpha PB Toody.  Everyone appears to have got bragging rights in differtent  categories too - Kel with 2 Sec & Hour, Troppo with 5 x 10, Gaz with the Alpha, and Cam with Nm.

Unfortunately crap wind all weekend so I'm glad I made the effort to get a sail in on Friday arvo.
