caught the 10:30 boat over after realising i lost my harness hook at the beach yesterday. still havent found it but managed to find a small waist harness in toodys shed.

Epic day. hit the water around 1 when cam arrived and the tide got high enough to sail across the reef. We sailed straight over to arlington to get amongst it.

was on 6.6 koncept and borrowed cams 105 rrd with 38cm c3.

some real nice flat water but i couldnt find any decent top end out of the board. thnk the fin was too big. we packed up around 5:30 and fanged back to yorkeys in the tinny.

got a couple of quick runs on the streaker 47 but it was too choppy to and gusty to really light it up. felt pretty good though and gybes like a demon.

had some nice drag races with cam, only short ones 8 km or so. and i hit a manta ray. wasnt happy about hurting the poor bugger but then another one got its own back on me and flicked my leg with its tail as i went past. good karma.

Kermit, Talon 40, 7.5 Koncept, Green Island.

Slightly better wind than yesterday. Nice cruising on the big gear then a quick couple of runs at Arlington. Finaly found a fin that works well in this board. Smaller than the fin I used to use but goes up wind better and a lot more controllableCool

GT31 has destroyed another card so can't get tracks yet. Will have to find another card to get numbers out after a couple of rumsCool

Might have to join Kel in looking for his missing fin tomorrow.

This is my second GT31. The last one went through a few cards. Occasionly it would stop saving files, formatting the card didn't help. Buy a new card and all would be good for another couple of months until the next card failed. CRAP GPS.

We need someone to come out with a gps that will handle what we do to them. I work with electronics all the time ( when I work ) and it is possible to make them handle the conditions.

Troppo dont play with rays and if you do get stung apply the hottest water you can stand to neutralise the pain which is excruciating!

Very good hour toCool

Great tale Troppo re: the Manta Ray tangle.  They are such graceful creatures albeit a  bit slow to get out of the way.

Gaz, Finally got me on the K's too. [and every other f@%king category Wink]
