hoppy (4588km): Stansbury, SA, AU Northerly 15-35knots F2 Sputnik, NP Raf Supernova 5.3, 28 Pro-Limit weedy
Arrived at low tide and rigged for the strong wind sailing inside the spit waiting for the right moment to do the big bearaway. After about an hour it appeared there was enough water to miss clipping the razor fish so i beared away and COWABUNGA! the Sputnik does go over 35knots. Actually i`m sure the GPS read over 36knots.. Cheers Jeff (the enduring sailer from the south) | ||||||||||||||||||
Jimbob (11323km): beachport, Lake george, NW 20 to 25 some small gusts, F2 sxs, 5.0 KA Koncept, 24 choco weedie. on my lonesome again.
First off WELL DONE Geoff on the pb's thats unreal on the sputnick, good old F2's you gotta love em. if you are done this way call me up and you can have a run on my F2's.
Got down after work and thought I missed most of the northerly but got a hour and a half in before the dark clouds came over, in hind sight should have went on the missile but I really don't trust north winds at all so played it safe pity as there where 40's to be had on the speed board. had a few weeks off and been on the beers and food too much really noticed the fitness tonight, better get back on track.
Lake Report................ The water level tonight was higher than when we had the big day 3 weeks ago on the 1st, the north west wind was blowing water over to the middle lake from the big lake so it was sweet as. absolutly flat all the way across and could do runs on either tack, I had 38 on the dial on port and starboard, only had to stop once to get weed of the fin but had to do plenty of bunny hops, the choco weedie at 45 degrees is great for just dropping the weed off and the 90 litres of the slalom helps as well. looks like Easter will be ok but only if you are on a 24 weed fin or less and are really powered up at all times. couple big days coming up but looks like W to SW so have a spot on the big lake to try, it looks the goods so will see.
