Finally some wind worth while speaking of. The best stuff as usual was out the back, some 500-800m. Got to the beach about 9:45am and could see the wind line beckoning. Rigged up, and set off. About half way out , she really kicked in and I had a bloody good session for about 2 hrs. Starting to feel my fitness improving too. Then just as the muscles really started to hurt, the whole lot dropped away to nothing for about an hour. Just managed one last water start and stayed on to make it in to the beach.
Good to catch up with Hoppy, Firie, Freddy and the Captn (who looked like he's just jumped out of a freezer - couldnt pick his nose to save himself, too busy shivering). Dont blame him either, the wind had a real chill in it. I reckon Firie would have been suffering too.
All up, a great day's sailing to be had up here in FNQ. Take care all.

Very pleasant day, blue clear sky, blue clear water and some good freinds on the water.
Wind looked promising but dropped as we rigged. Waddled for quite a while then it picked up and I was really hanging on to the 7.0 without much control.
Good to meet Jeffro

Very exciting sail at the Knob, nice 20nkts but no flat water as the wind had too much south making the Nm and peak speeds challangeing!
Had plenty of unexpected and unwanted airtime but with the 107 it was very controlable and it only through me off twice.
Used my 6.7 Overdrive which felt soooo nice when really powered up and Isonic 2012 107 Carbon and C3 Sting2 34. (still havnt got around to replacing my 39)

I heard on the grape vine Kel has smacked me hard, well done mate (Edit, had tucker and see the Red Devil do do well, nice mate as I found it all so rough today)
No wind inshore so wobbled and wobbled out to sea, I could see Kelly way out heading up to the Barron as pre aranged, wham the wind switch turned on so off I went never seeing the Red Flyer again. Got to the Barron River very rough trip and the bloody wind switched off again, fell in so floated floated and floated around remembering my son saying don't go to the barron and if you do don't fall in as there are big lizzards there Anyway got going, headed downwind when I got to the wind line hoping for a nice Nm as the wind was cranking then, bloody wuss got too scared and couldn't do it, too rough for this black duck
Had a talk to Hoppy and Freddo but when I got my gear up everyone was gone, fridge full of Coopers but had to have one on my own, red of course. I have to say it was very very cold for here and the reason I gave it away.
CA SL58, 6.8 Switchblade, 34 Venon, Boardies but no nutbag, too cold
