Kimba (5126km): Nice morning session down at Goolwa. I was going to head to Boggy but didn't know if anyone else was heading out, the Hindmarsh Island observations were also looking better. Happy with the NM in the Goolwa chop. I hope you got a good sail down south Jamie! Goolwa Lake 15-20, Falcon 113 - EvoIV 7.8 - S11 41
Jimbob (11323km): lake and sea session today. F2 stoke 117, KA Koncept 5.8, 24 and 30 select weedy. started at the spit doing runs along the bank but the wind went a bit too much to the west and made port tack hard to get back on so went for a look around the middle lake, up the top of lake was $hit but behind the islands was sweet so had a few runs there for a bit. could have run the speed or slalom board and got some better numbers but can't seem to get into it when i'm by myself. got a bit bored by myself again and realised I had no food for lunch so packed up and went back to town for a feed and a blast in the bay. out to sea was choppy as with about a 2 to 3 metre swell running, was jump city going out, a real test on booms today, so far my new carbon billows is handling it ok. wind backed of a bit and couldn't be bothered putting up a 6.6 so called it a day. start 6 night shifts tonight then days off, though sunday looks like a sea breeze day. happy to only miss 1 gybe in each session. Good to see you out Kimba.

2hour session after work. Might have been a little over 20knots at times so a solid session.
Trousers (944km): on Boggy around 4:30. blowy and choppy when I got there so I only rigged my 5.8, but within fifteen minutes it moderated and I was undercooked for the rest of of the session and never really got to hold the hammer down. should have come in and rigged my 6.7 which would have been perfect, but I was still planing for most of it so I kept lazily milking the 5.8. not my best day out, but still a sail, and a chance to open the account. i've been watching this site for a long time. with a bit of wind I'm sure I will improve those numbers. on my ownsome all today, so I know how it feels Jimbob! |
