Jimbob (11323km): Beachport, lake George from the spit, W 5 to 20, usual up and down westerly. no really flat water but not too bad either another few weeks and it will be sweet. F2 stoke 117 with JP supercross 30 fin, F2SXS with AB port assy 26 then choco 24 weedy. KA Koncepts 6.6 then 5.8. done the first 50 on the 6.6 and the 30 supercross fin, used to have the same fin a couple years ago until I smashed it good allround fin (thanks old salty) was running 30's with it then went out on the sxs and 5.8 as have moved the back straps in by 1cm by running the holes offset as last time really struggled getting into the back straps on this board, was sweet as no probs, the port assy was solid as on port but just a bit too scary going back upwind over the chop on starboard so went the choco which was great as well. was great to be back on the sxs I should use it more often as i'm 80 kilos and the board is 90 litres so floats me ok. Had a good look around the middle lake., Danny and his grandson showed up after lunch so had some company. The swans where crazy as today bloody lots of them and came so close to wiping a few out. stupid things. Took my rideon mower down and mowed a big area at the 5 mile drift so there is some nice grass to rig up on there now.

Sam Doecke (16626km): Went for a cruise on the 160ltr big bico for a bit of fun. Rigged the 7.3 hot sails for power and put on a 50 cm fin. Went for a bit of an hour and was surprised at how well the 12kg plastic beast goes. Good day with normal crowd. Looks like shane ( trousers) was gybing well and carl was blasting me. Can't wait for there downloads. Fun 13 to 18 knot day. Loving these sails. | ||||||||||||||||||
Carl Macdonald (18593km): Nice late arvo breeze at Boggy lake. Had an infected knee mid week so rigged 7m instead of 8m and in the end was a good choice. Love cruising on the big board - Fanatic Falcon 113 and the Black Project R375. Wind was 13 to 18 knots. |
