JP Slalom VI 65cm, NP RSS MkIV 7.8m,  JP Weed 36cm

I seriously dispise using ******* useless gumby gayboy clown boots and can't wait for my toes to heal so I can burn the ****** things.

That said.....

Had a short sharp session this morning as family duties call today, the wind was light when I got there, so much so that I almost went home and got the SLW, furtunately it started picking up so it saved me 20mins, rigged the 7.8 thinking that I could allways put it on the speed board if the wind came in strong.

Hit the water and was glad I'd rigged big, a few holes and not much ooompf in the wind, tacked up wind and went accross the sand bar and did one run down the course only to find that there was very little wind there. so I sailed back accross the bay (I love this run) reasonably powered on my first naughty.

Hardz and Pepe by this time had just hit the water, so I followed them accross and worked up wind again, the breeze was finaly starting to pick up so it made the run a bit more viable, got a few runs down there but when going deep I'd just run out of puff, didn't have the angle right.

My ongoing saga with wildlife carried on again today, sailing back over the sand bar nicely powered i get a "crack" and a jolt thought "oh dear I've just rocked another fin" turn around to see if I could see it, to my surprise I see a reasonable size stingray swimming in circles with only one wing working (bugger) stop a bit further away and check my fin, not a mark on it .

Breeze was really starting to work when I got of the water, the home run back accross the bay gave me my best naughty, I realy love this run as the chop and wind just all works together to make an exilarating ball tearing fun rideCool

Great little sessionCoolCool left the best conditions to the boysCool and a few Perth Riff Raff who decided to crowd out  out localWink

Morning easterly, not as windy as yesterday, but more consistent, one of the most enjoyable sails I've ever had, that hr had a 5 min, swim in a dead zone.  Tabou Manta 54 (loving this board)  TR-4 6.3m (Fave sail) Sammy Special 23,5cm (fave fin).  These easterlies are so good, I look fwd to them more than seabreezes now, brings us to a better patch of water too!!

6.6m koncept, 105 rocket, 32cm pepeweed. Joined Elmo and Hards at the point where the breeze was just starting to come in, after a text message that Elmo was rigging a 5.8. Didn't read the +2 bit. Glad he did though because the session was what holidays are all about, absolutely bloody magic day out. Changed down when the wind picked up a bit to the 95 rocket and a 31 but the best speed was still on the 105. CoolCoolCool

Another g8 easterly session, this time with company, which makes it more enjoyable.

After being underpowered yesterday rigged the 6.0, but kept board and fin the same, didn't make any difference though, was a bit dissapointed with my speeds especially as yoyo clocked a 34.5.

realised later in the session that the 19.5 woody weedy is slightly starboard assymetric, so investigted opposite tack possibilities. looked like a good run from the opposite side, eaterly end, but when I saw a row of pelicans and seagulls standing on the water, decided to stay away. Had a couple of short runs on both sides of the channel and these produced my best speeds.

Think next time I go over there I'll use the symmetric 23cm ado lockwood. (If I don't get round to making a shorter version in the mean time)

Quick blast after the missus finished her race at the Sailing club. It was fun but the chop from the Division 4's made it very choppy.

Great Work Guys, my run down to Augusta was a fizzer, the wind needs to be SE. This morning it was east so the sand dunes were taking most of the strength out of the breeze and it only leaves you with a 100m or so run before you hit the bank

Elmo and Pepe,

Thanks for the tips on water conditions.  Missed your sting ray but nearly took out a pod of dolphins later in the day...was wondering if they were guarding the spot for the locals??Wink

Cheers!

Those dolphins love to go for a blast right under your board whilst looking up at you and get their giggles scaring muppets.

Glad you had fun there today Borgy, hope it wasn't to crowded for you
