Hardie (20239km): Hardies Run, WA, AU Going 4 Alpha 's so reasonably happy TR-4 6.3m Tabou Manta 54, SS 23.5, my gps file is split, so will be adjusting foir second file. 2nd file bought my 5 x 10 up, did an NM on my firat run which felt like a 30kt run, and another 10km to my distance.
Bender (19030km): Glory Holes, Australind, WA, AU Crappy SSE'er 5-15knts RRD Firerace135, RSR 7.8m, 46decrepit weedy. Sailed from 2-3pm. As i drove home it came in nicely. Oh well it was the a good test for tomorrow if its lightish. The combo rocks
Decrepit (22059km): Went for Alphas with hardie. rigged the 5.3 avi sail on the 48cm board with 21 cm 30deg weedy. bit disappointed with these alpha results thought I was going faster, seems I was going too upwind on entry, the high speeds I was seeing (30+kts) was only at the end of the exit run. At least I didn't go too wide. I'll blame the high tide choppy conditions, gybes weren't really on song, but I thought higher speeds than normal would compensate.
Elmo (15665km): JP Slalom VI 65, NP RSR Eiii 7.0m, Talon 38cm & Pepe super40 weed, JP Speed 54cm & Elmo chopbuster weed 28cm Woke up this morning with my usual headache, farewelled my beloved of to work, went back to sleep on the lounge woke up a couple of hours later with the pixies stabbing me behind the eyes, emails were going of for work (just as well I'm on holidays) figured I'd punish my headache with some work. Dropped my son of at work and toddled down the run. Holey sheet!!! that looks a bit more than 13 knots, fark it looks a wee bit junky as well, this doesn't bode well for tomorow So rigged what I thought I'd use tomorow as a small option, thought I'd give the Talon a go again to see if I could start to like it. first run out was my best Naughty, got a bit exciting as I had my mast foot a bit further back than norm, got a couple of big talk walks on the run which was quite choppy. Had some fun playing around for a while trying to get my head around how I'd rig if it was like this tomorow, eventually went back and swapped the Talon for the Pepe super40, This fin still rocks had some good runs with it. Went back to base and thought I'd give the speed board a go, it's been a while since I've found the wind to pull this puppy out. Went and did a naughty attept on the Snides line with the 54 but pulled out well early as the sail was feeling asthmatic, spewing when I looked at the data as it would have been about a 32. Still haven't figured out what to use tomorow, one concelation the conditions will be the same for everyone. Should be fun
