Sandy Point, gr8 day wind about 18 to 23kts most day then picked up 20 to 25kts end of day, when did all my best speeds.  Its definitely flatter and easier than Lake George The Spit, but I havent sailed 5 Mile Weed Banks at Lake George which when on, are reportedly better than Sandy PointSurprised

Well that was more comfortable and confidence inducing. Used my mid sized wave board with the 4.7 avi wave sail. Yoyo showed me his run at Kiters beach,

(way downwind of the kiters). Very pleased to get a 31.08 on the dial. Foot felt a little sore after the 24km, but not too bad now.

Might try speed gear tomorrow.

NP RSR Eii 6.2m, Tabou thunder 70cm & JP Weed 31cm Then Tabou Manta 54 & Elmo Δ Weed 24cm.

Twas a bit blowy this arvy unfortunately the storm surge was still up which meant my normal spot was choppy and alphaland wasn't quite deep enough.

Spent the first half of the session down in Alphaland beating my head against the wall trying to get out of the 34's, was sailing by myself down there which I am generlly loath to do cause I sail like a muppet so decided to go back and maybe change a fin over, the sail back showed a marked difference in wind speed from Alphaland to 500m out giving a very bumpy ride back.

When I got back found Stroppo crying into the wind as he was working, and one of our KIWI breatheren rigging up. Decided to tryout my new 54cm Manta and fin which made recenty.

Sailed back down to Alphaland with Terry (hope that's right) and got a few more runs in trying to suss out the board. Had some more fun down there got my peak speed on the 54, only downside was getting spiked by something.

Fun session, hopefully we will lose some of the storm surge tomorow.

JP FSW 92; NP The Fly 4.8; Mod. JP Seaweed 29.

Good sail on the small gear today.

Was going to rig up a 5.4 but a few wise words from Jason had me changing my mind for the better.
