Shark Bay - BOO_Bays 20-25knts as good as it gets !!! At last after all the sessions I done here I finally got it, nice and solid with a 40.62 on the screen.. Absolute fantastic session with 1.30h window before the tide went up. 6.30 wake up, on the spot at 8, at 9 was 16-18 knts  wrong direction tide going down, then I asked the gods to help me to get there and in return I will....tell you later.

Setup 5.5 and said to myself this or nothing, setup Misty 47, 10.00 tide still going down, wind picked to 20-25knts up and swang... OMFG gaaaame is on... put away the 47 and got Misty 41 out... took off at 10.30, the way up was hard (5,5 has a wider clue that the 5.8 RS make it back hand a lot) but maaaan on run it was powerfull where you need it giving the bridge between the 2 sligshots (people that knows the spot will understand) where I got the fastest on the second shot. Very very happy after all the hard work.. thats 2 PBs plus a nice push up in the 10s WA table with 38,751 , thanks Lao

After a very conservative NM back to the car, I was very happy to made it save in one piece, and no stacks!! Mission Accomplished. Tomorrow a lite sail, and check of spot number2..

ps: Awesome Captain on the PBs I am glad it all worked out for you too . Could be some more PBs I recon with the Perth forcast!! Look like Aussie land is doing good with wind

Ps2: I will be updating my last year PB of 39.95something because in fact its a 40.005, I was waiting to get a solid 40 before doing it so people does not whing thinking Sam cannot get there!

JPFSW 92L; NP Excess 5.4; JP 31 Weedy

After seeing all that wind and PB's last week and not being amongst it, was finally good to get out on the water and blow the dust off.

A bit of bump and jump and a couple of dicey runs down the beaver but happy with the 2 sec and 5 x 10. 

Managed to stick a couple of gybes today too.

Went to change down to a 4.8 and realized i'd broke my tendon. Game over.

6.6m koncept, 95 rocket, 31 weedie, Nice run around midday with things to do in the arvo. Feel a bit lazy posting these scores with Hards, Sammy and Stu all busting out. Well done guys, worth the trip for sure..

lake george magic, wind 25kts plus in gusts, fastest on Tr-7 5.9m nude 46 slindshot 21, felt overpowered in trongest gusts so changed to 5.5 m gaastra vapor, fastest on that was a 40.45, knew pb's were on today when wind picked up, so stoked, mission accomplished, now 3 days of driving to get back to WA, One Very Happy man

Edit: Wind gusts were in the 25 to 30 range

It felt easy, much easier than Shark bay, when I did my 41.67 on dial, I was expecting to see the usual 39kts on the dial, but both GPS's showed 41's, first time ever had 3 forty knot runs, could have got a heap more but called it very early knowing i had a 5 x 10 pb as well, wanted to live to tell the tale, and knew I had a 3 day drive ahead of me, just fucking STOKED!!!!!!

nice day sailing heaps of fun started off on the 110 xcite ride sailed this most of the day and did one run on the manta down the beaver  bit choppy but a real rush

nice sail over powered just a tade by the end and the barge at the top of the speed run is annouing and the markers that are marking where the barge is they have about 2-3 meter of rope hanging of them which at one point slowed me down a bit  Safety Bay, WA, AU

Yet another session on this combo, I cannot think of when previously  I have gotten to use my 6.2 so often.

It was a pretty bumpy day at the beaver tide was coming in and Rockingham Councils quest to destroy our speed run so the fisher bogans can get their stinkboats out to sea has commenced with a barge being anchored at the top of the run and a few new buoys being laid with excessivley long ropes waiting to send you over the front and munch your fin at the same time, just ask slowy, he hit the stern line off the barge and damaged his fin today.

Melville & Leighton

Reflex II 7.0, Mistral 112, Sting II 38

Same gear both spots. Went on a mission with Stroppo to post some Nm for the wa Comp. I forgot to bring my ruler and only just had long enough legs at Leighton. My fastest includes 300m at 15 knots trying to get rid of weed and the rest were just enough length..

Then did the dash to Melville.....I've never sailed in such gusty wind. More holes than a poor mans undies. Couldn't get 1 Nm of wind. Sailing into patches of nothing. Fun all the same

Big congrats to all the PB's. Especially the captain. Massive speed, well worth the drive.

The Beaver - barge arse edition.

Took the trailer to work today to expecting a stonking seabreeze, after a interesting day at work left to drop a sail in at the Den of vice thought I'd try a different route to avoid peak hour on the freeway so I went Stock Rd, what a f'd up decision that was every light was orange and some I had a double sitting, neadless to say I was moderatley pissed when I got down there only to find that someone had parked a F'king big barge right in the middle of the sand bar at the beginning of the run.

Surprised that I could still stand up not all that surprised that the stonking breeze didn't eventuate had just pluged the mast base and fin onto my board and taken idown to the shore when I ran into one very lucky Mr Boat who showed his damage from tangling with the barges steel mooring lines at speed. After chatting with him with my cheery disposition I picked up the board ready to pack it up and drive home.

Fortunately for me Mr Boat's enthusiasm got the better of me so I rigged the 6.2 being ever the optimist thinking that it would pick up more and went out.

I'm glad I did, was having a ball out there with the Slow one who was on his 3rd 40+ session for the week, myeself I seemed stuck in the 35-36 range run after run, tweaking and tuning trying to improve the speed but to no avail, but that said it was a whole lotta fun, got the board floating nicely or in Slowies words the board was looking a bit happy.

Twas great fun, had the closest call with a kiter where I lost him in my luff tube only to have him apear just in front of my board.

Spotted something bigish swimming out of the pond less than 10m away from where we were standing, I'm telling myself it was a bg sting ray but suspect it may have been something else begining wth S.

BIG CONGRATS SAMMY  HARDIE SOUTHY AND ROD ON YOUR PBS AWSOME STUFF  nice to see sammy get that 40 i bet those monkey lips were flaping after that lol Went on a mission with Tom today upto the big smoke had a blow out on the way doing 100 on the freeway holy sh#t that could of been nasty being the front drivers once i got that out of the way rolled up to leighton it looked good Tom was allready out had only a few runs by this time i was the only one out so came back in thinking well at least i got a score for the summer n/mile comp at leighton now so we packed up and went to the swan river to see a few blasting around i hadnt sailed here for quite a number of years so my memories are vague of this place my first run took of cranking thinking cool about 300m later no wind at all but lots of jelly fish wow have i just sailed through a jelly farm  then got to manage a run across to the other side with some megger holes on the way  this  place you need big sails and big boards to get through the holes  then i stood in the shallows for about 15 mins watching the bullets come across the bay thinking is it allways like this you guys and girls that sail here all the time must get pissed off some days i have never sailed in such gusty conditions but i will be back better prepered next time  met a few of the locals and they said this was a good day  saw Peter Dans doing some good runs he looked like he was cranking  all up another great mission with Tom my fastest nauty and alpha were at leighton didnt expect that !!!!
