Manta 67 SL7 29-SP50-SL7 27  Blade 7.5-6.2  wind 10-30knts  Lake Bonney

Today was bloody hard work wind was blowing straight off shore and very gusty going from 10 knts to short burts of 30 knts it was a struggle.Used the Manta 90% of the time got my best runs  on it had a couple of runs on the SP50 but to many holes for it to get properly lit up,temp was a nice 33 degc, tomorrow is going to be windy again but it will from a better angle.

Great to sail with some of the team today Hamma tested out his knee and Chris D made the trip up here for a sail.

Lake Bonney, Barmera

2010 iS101 / 2009 5.8 Koncept / 2009 34 Venom

Don't even know why I'm posting these numbers. My first session in weeks and I honestly had no idea where to go. All our usual spots (Clayton Channel and Alpha Channel) are now all underwater, so I thought I'd do the 6 hour round trip to sail with Choco and Hamma at Barmera. It's usually the visitors that get to post the better numbers - not today. Crazy conditions. Hot, gusty and swinging. Very hard to know what to ride. I didn't have too many runs, but did enjoy my first ride on the new 2010 iS101. This board does feel different to the 2009, and I look forward to spending more time on it....

You seem to get pretty similar numbers every time you get out on that lake Choco, and that's pretty often. Have you ever had the Manta 67 much over 36?

Hi Chris,

Today was a PB top Max speed on the Manta 67(36.62) it surprising how well it works with a 29cm fin easily powers up wind and solid off the wind, yeah i seem to be stuck on 36 knot mark lately but i'll sort that out in the next couple of days..might need 1cm +/- downhaul.

Friday Dry and hot with fresh and gusty north to northeast winds. Possible raised dust. Winds turning fresh west to northwest during the afternoon, before moderating in the evening.

possible shower

Saturday Fine and sunny. Warm to hot with north to northwest winds increasing to fresh to strong and gusty after sunrise, with possible raised dust. High cloud increasing in the afternoon with a milder, moderate west to southwest change during the evening. Isolated showers developing in the far southwest during the evening.

showers increasing

Sunday Scattered showers, easing to isolated showers during the morning and clearing by evening. Cool with fresh northwest winds, ahead of a fresh to strong west to southwest change during the afternoon. Winds easing during the evening.
