You sacrificed so that I could get some afternoon sailing.Innocent

Got to Melville to find Grumpy finally about to get out on the water after hours of hanging around.

We had some great runs all the way to Peli neck and neck but Grumpy was faster.

Some big squalls coming through but also patches of nothing. Peak PB for this board was in the middle of the river in a big squall. Yeehaaa!

Hand is sore now but just about made it through.

What a day! Spent most of it hiding from the rain under the tailgate of Anita's car (Thanks Anita). Sat around for hours waiting/prayingUndecided and was just getting in the car to leave when Damo turned up for a chat. By the time he left it was looking good enought to rig(Thanks Damo).

Finally after about 3 hours sitting around I decided to rig and got the sail set up just in time for a storm to hit and had to sit in the pissing rain holding my rig downYell. Anyway the storm passed and I hit the water just in time for the wind to drop.Cry

I came back in, plugged in my biggest fin and bagged out the sail just as Lao turned up. 10 minutes later I was cruising across to Peli Point at about 20kts in the sunshineLaughing argh! this is living.

Had an awesome time drag racing Lao all the way from Melville to Peli side by side for 4 runs over and backTongue out  I had too chicken out and change fins so Iguess Lao won in the end, my back leg couldn't take any more  of the big fin with the wind building.

I told Anita it was only a matter of time before we would sailing in the sunshine but she just laughed at meWink

Short sesh after work at Melville.

Extremely up and down so I rigged big...135 XFire + 8.5 Koncept + 48 Talon.

A few solid gusts lit up the big kit, but too lumpy to go real quick, so happy with a 29 peak. Cool

Congrats on the jellybean Grumpy, you earned it! Patience pays off.

Glad you got some more K's on the board Lao. It is amazing how close this race to 20 000 is becoming.

The reason I wanted to sail this morning was because I had to take my son to a piano lesson this afternoon. Then, after I had unpacked all the gear from the car the piano teacher rang to cancel!

Saw you guys out as I dropped by after work...was a little tempted to rush home and get the gear but decided it was a little late and a little cold!

Nice numbers for the big board there Mark.
