4309 days ago Wanted to have another go at Tom's alpha markers, wind looked OK and was forecast to rise, so plugged the 5.3 into the 48 with the 24.5 45deg weedy, thinking to change down when the wind picked up.
Went for a naughty down the inside, then did alphas back up to the markers. Strangely the best 2 alphas were the first 2 I did, deep in alpha land. The wind was dropping off and I was having a lot of trouble with my gybes, slipping, tripping on footstraps, mistiming the flip, almost everything that could go wrong did! When I did make a decent gybe, I ran out of wind coming out, so I'm pleasantly surprised by this result, I only expected a 22, although this was the only 23.
Instead of picking up the wind slowly dropped, came in for a cuppa waiting for the increase, but it didn't happen, had another brief session after hardy went out, wind still continued to die.
